Post-Poison Ivy, Pre-Wedding Singer Drew Barrymore

Ask anyone--I love the idea of girl-worship.

My girl-obsession with Drew Barrymore started when I was but a wee seventh grader. My friend Crystal and I were paging through some God-awful Seventeen magazine at her house and saw a picture of Drew with a daisy in her hair.

It was love at first sight.

"She's pretty, huh?" Crystal said. I nodded.

The picture was taken right after she had cut all of her hair off, before the David Letterman birthday-flashing. Drew was all evil grins and trashy lingerie, a cigarette always clenched between her two perfect lips.

I know, she's in some new annoying happy-love-you phase now. I prefer to not think about this... she coulda been my friend in jr.high.

Scarily, my obsession hasn't subsided...some eight years later, I still collect pictures to put in my Drew Scrapbook.

I keep hoping that there is a still a little bit of evil left in Drew...because I know there is still a little bit of seventh grade evil in me.
